Will Kate Middleton wear a tiara on the 29th April?

Will soon-to-be Princess Kate Middleton wear a tiara for her wedding to Prince William on Friday 29th April? If she does, what style will she choose?

Perhaps she will have a bespoke tiara made especially for her? Or will she wear the tiara that Queen Elizabeth wore on her wedding day on 20 November, 1947?

The Queen wore the Russian fringe tiara that was made for Queen Mary in 1919, and is reputed to contain diamonds that belonged to George III. The Russian fringe tiara is made of brilliant diamonds mounted in gold and set in silver.

Or will she wear an ‘on-trend’ birdcage veil with flower embellishment (rumours this week suggest Kate will wear flowers in her hair)? These elegant fascinators look perfect with vintage wedding dress.

New Vintage Inspired Jewellery & Tiaras

We've been so busy working on our new collection of Vintage Inspired Jewellery and tiaras. Its shaping up nicely, and we're adding new items to the website daily. It's so exciting how a collection happens - starts with a couple of designs and spirals from there!

We've added plenty of sparkle with diamante elements, Swarovski Crystals & Freshwater Pearls. We can't wait to show you the rest!

'Vintage' is the keyword for bridal fashions this season, and next. Plenty of dresses with antique style lace, beading, diamante details, birdcage veil fascinators etc.

The Kings Hotel, Grantham - Tiara Workshop

On Saturday 10th July we held a Tiara making workshop, at The Kings Hotel, Grantham, Lincolnshire. We had 6 ladies attend the workshop (on a very hot morning), who all made their own tiara (plus some made another tiara or a piece of jewellery or 2).

Above are a couple of pictures of everyone hard at work....

We're looking forward to holding our next class (should be August) at The Kings Hotel.

We're currently finalising our 2011 collection and we'll put these new items on our website as soon as they're all finished - its so exciting. We'll also let you know our trend predictions for 2011 weddings - not just the bridal accessory side, but dresses, colours & reception themes.

Keeping Busy

We're keeping ourselves busy here at Fabulous Tiaras. We have a steady flow of new orders to keep us out of trouble plus we're preparing ourselves for a Tiara making workshop in Grantham, Lincolnshire on Saturday.
We're looking forward to meeting those who've booked the workshop. We have 2 spare spaces, so if you're interested in booking, please go here. Just £50 for 3 hours tuition plus all tools and materials needed. We always meet such a lovely group of people!
Anyway, we'd better get on and keep up to date with our orders...

Wedding Fayre - Sun 11th April 2010

We attended a wedding fayre at the Holiday Inn, Ashford on Sunday. It was well worth attending as we met some lovely wedding professionals including a company called 'Wedding Belles' who specialise in chair and table dressing. They had designed the table settings for a round table on show, and each chair was covered with a white cover and had a purple/lilac 2 tone sash finished with a bow. These looked lovely! The napkins had ribbons tied around them and a single rose placed in each one. A simply elegant look. I wish I had taken photo's - it was lovely! The two ladies who run the company are so friendly! We displayed our current 2010 tiaras & hair accessories, and found that the assymetrical fascinators and headbands were very popular! We have so many orders for them!

Oh my goodness - I can't believe the last time we posted on here was before Christmas and we're now into March! That is terrible!

We've been busy making new accessories and jewellery - especially beaded fascinators and non wedding jewellery - big beaded necklaces & bracelets.

We've added more jewellery & tiara workshops which are coming up soon.

We're also arranging to attend wedding fairs in the not too distant future so we can meet our brides-to-be!

We've so much in store this year - its not going to be a quiet one!

Christmas Countdown

We've not actually stopped working yet - we're posting out gift certificates until tomorrow (23rd Dec) at midday - plenty of time to post it special delivery within the UK.

Plus we're still photographing our new items and adding them to the site! The new tiaras and jewellery have all been made with white glass pearls and clear crystals - very glam - we can't wait to see our brides in them!

The tiara sample sale is proving very popular - half the tiaras have sold now - there's alway brides out there looking for a great deal!

Hi,

I've added a few new tiaras to our site - there were going to be lots more, but the camera ran out of charge and I couldn't find the lead to recharge it (I have moved in the last 2 weeks...) - pathetic excuse but I will hunt around for the lead tonight, and then I will be able to go on with photographing tomorrow. And then I can have a rest during Christmas!

Christmas Festivities

Well, we're doing all the important things today like decorating the Christamas tree and writing out our cards (yes we're running a little late with this, but we've had work to do!).

After this I'm spending the afternoon photographing our new tiaras and jewellery, which should all be added to the site www.fabuloustiaras.co.uk by tomorrow evening. Mind you there are 15 tiaras and several items of jewellery.

We're fast approaching the deadline for posting orders, so please get all your orders in before tomorrow - we have some great little gifts for friends and family.

The office will be shut between 23rd December and 4th January, although we will still be checking emails in that time, and making any orders that come through, so we're not on holiday totally! I find that New Years Day is really busy with brides ordering their tiaras for their upcoming wedding - I'm really looking forward to next year!

We're planning ahead for next year, and as well as adding new workshops, we're adding new tiaras and jewellery to the Fabulous Tiaras website almost daily! The wedding dresses for next year are absolutely gorgeous, and have plenty of diamante & crystal detailing on them - which is what we've included in our new range of jewellery and tiaras - next year is going to be so exciting! We can't wait!

Wedding Event - Heading up the Aisle, Chislehurst

Our new designs made especially for the wedding event, at Heading Up the Aisle bridal boutique, Chislehurst, Kent, will be appearing on our website www.fabuloustiaras.co.uk over the next couple of days.

Our designer Rachel Smith had great fun on the day, meeting all the brides who attended the event. 10 lucky brides met Jonathon Ansell from G4 & were interviewed for Wedding TV.

Kay Carey - Director of Heading Up The Aisle organised the big event for the grand opening of her Bridal Boutique, in Chislehurst. She did a fabulous job and the day went without a hitch. It was lovely to meet other wedding professionals she works with and these included Lauren Jackson from 'Brides-to-be makeup by Lauren' - a makeup and hair artist & Anthony Hurren from 'Anthony Hurren Photography'.

We all look forward to the next event. Fabulous Tiaras will be hosting tiara workshops from the boutique - we'll keep you informed about the new dates for this.

Fabulous Tiaras have been busy adding new workshop dates to our website - we're so looking forward to meeting avid beaders in the new year!

We've had so much fun on our past beading workshops - both in Dartford, Kent and in Grantham, Lincolnshire. The workshops take place on a Saturday morning from 10.30am to 1.30pm and cost £50.00 per session, which includes all materials and light refreshments!

So far we've had brides and bridesmaids making their tiaras for their dream wedding - which makes their wedding jewellery so much more special to them. Not only do they look beautiful on the day, they can also say they made they're tiara! How fab is that??

We've met lots of other people too, who love beading and making jewellery, but just need a little help in learning how to start and finish necklaces, or how to make a certain pair of earrings.

We've extended our workshops into Brentwood, Essex & we're also doing an all day course in Dartford, in March (with lunch included) so there's more time to make even more jewellery! The all day course starts at 10am and goes on til 4.30pm and costs £95.

We're just finishing the final touches for a tiara to be sent out to Oz! Friends are having a winter wedding (19th Dec) - in the blistering heat in Australia - not a snowflake or raindrop in sight!
